Changelog & data freshness

voucherfig is rebuilt from official HUD program rules and the HUD FY2026 Fair Market Rent and income-limit datasets (effective 2026-05-21). This log records when data and tools changed. A machine-readable feed is at /feed.xml.

  1. HUD FY2026 data live + GEO/llms-full.txt published

All 3,229 county pages now use HUD FY2026 Fair Market Rent (revised, effective 2026-05-21) and FY2026 income limits. Added public/llms-full.txt with national baselines (avg 2-BR FMR $1,162; median $1,018; range $475–$4,214) and full methodology. Homepage gained a FAQ block and WebApplication/FAQPage structured data.

  2. ZIP lookup with cross-county choice

Added ZIP→county lookup powered by the Census Bureau 2020 ZCTA-to-county relationship file (free, no registration). Cross-county ZIPs now show a chooser listing every covered county with its land-area share.

  3. 13 calculators and 3 guide articles published

Launched the full tool suite: voucher calculator, eligibility checker, income-limit lookup, deduction worksheet, rent-burden analyzer, move-in cost, what-if simulator, voucher vs public housing, application kit, recertification planner, payment-standard explorer, PHA directory, and portability calculator — all driven by official HUD program rules (24 CFR Part 982).

  4. HUD FY2026 Fair Market Rent effective

HUD published the revised FY2026 FMR values, effective 2026-05-21. voucherfig ingested the county-level dataset for all 56 jurisdictions (~3,229 counties/areas) and the companion FY2026 income limits.
